New Compilation serie: Aug 2005 With the 'vibes' series,
Mettle Music launches their new series of quality CD compilations. Each
volume will feature a strong genre driven identity creating an evolving
volume-by-volume collection. Themes will include among others Latin Vibes,
Jazz Vibes, Funk Vibes and Disco Vibes with one new CD released every
3 months.

New label launch: Oct 2004 The Moodswings album was originally released last year on Bar De Lune Records as a CD only release. We have now secured rights to release the album tracks which is due to be the launch project for the new UK based 'Mettle Music' label. The plan is to release one 12" vinyl EP per month between Nov 04 & Mar 05 featuring tracks from the album & new remixes. The first release features the standout live club track 'Latin Horns' along with a new 'Club Dub' & the Balearic deepness of 'Pacific Motion'. With strong support from the likes of; Rocky, Ashley Beadle, Laurent Garnier, Faze Action, Ben Watt, Shawn Ward, Rithma, Fish Go Deep, The Rurals & Laid. More info. Two of the Moodswings vinyl collection see's a nice a balance of cool deep
house grooves and broken beat action with a very musical flavour. First
up, in it's original broken beat form is the album mix of 'El
Mar' featuring the soulful Spanish vocals of Susane Montero (Malena,
RSL, Audiowhores). Crisp, jerky beats, deep, deep bass, groovy guitar and
a cool brass riff compliment each other perfectly to create a sublime whole.
The 'house
dub' chop's up the vocal's, introduces a groovy disco bass line and
an awesome new sax part. The 'Sleepy
Head' album mix is a funky broken beat track which interlaces some catchy
guitar parts, cool rhodes solo & atmospheric flute parts from from the Mettle
Music session players (who's credits include Badly Drawn Boy, Jersey St,
Rae & Christian etc). Listen out for the drum break in the middle where
things really start to take offÉ To nicely finish things off the 'house
mix' expands on the guitar part which now carries the track fluidly
along for a journey into blissed out spiritual deepness... Vinyl sales here.

Release Feb 21st 2005
Volume Three of the Moodswings Vinyl Collection (and possibly the best yet) features the sublimely deep electro tinged vocal track 'Better Days' amended slightly from the album version with an added beats intro for DJ's and a stormin' club dub coming in three parts with a full on percussive workout taking things into 5th gear towards the end. Also featured is an instrumental version of 'Capture Part 2' a deep & dubby track with gorgeous guitar, strings and trippy fx. Vinyl, CD & MP3 downloads here. |
